MTV VMA 2024 : Taylor Swift bat un record historique, voici tous les gagnants !

Encore une soirée historique pour Taylor Swift ! Ce mercredi soir, lors de la 41ème édition des MTV Video Music Awards (ou MTV VMAs), la superstar américaine a ajouté un nouveau record à sa longue collection. Avec sept trophées remportés durant la soirée, elle devient tout simplement l'artiste la plus récompensée de l'histoire de la cérémonie, avec un total de 30 prix sur l'ensemble de sa carrière, surclassant Beyoncé et ses 27 victoires. Hier soir donc, dans l'enceinte de l'UBS Arena d'Elmont, près de New York, Taylor Swift a raflé sept prix dont ceux, majeurs, de l'Artiste et du Clip de l'année pour son énorme tube "Fortnight". S'ajoutent à son palmarès les distinctions dans les catégories Chanson de l'été, Meilleure artiste pop, Meilleure collaboration (avec Post Malone) et, dans des listes plus techniques, Meilleurs montages et réalisation. Par ricochet, Post Malone récolte également cinq récompenses grâce au hit de Taylor Swift.

"Houdini" voit double

Dans le reste de ce palmarès, Sabrina Carpenter s'en sort très bien ! Son tube "Espresso" a été sacré Chanson de l'année, tandis que le phénomène Chappell Roan, qui vient d'annuler son concert à Paris, est devenue la Meilleure nouvelle artiste face à Benson Boone ou Tyla. Mais ceux-ci peuvent se consoler avec, respectivement, les prix des Meilleurs clips alternatifs et afrobeats pour "Beautiful Things" et "Water". Les popstars Billie Eilish (Meilleure vidéo pour le bien pour "What Was I Made For ?") et Ariana Grande (Meilleure photographie pour "We Can't Be Friends") se sont distinguées, tout comme deux "Houdini" ! Le tube pop de Dua Lipa récolte le prix de Meilleure chorégraphie tandis que le single percutant d'Eminem est sacré Meilleurs effets visuels et Meilleur clip hip-hop.

Au cours de la cérémonie des MTV VMA's, SZA, Lisa, Seventeen, Anitta, Le Sserafim ou encore Lenny Kravitz ont aussi été sacrés. Star de la soirée avec un medley de ses plus grands tubes, Katy Perry a rayonné à deux reprises : elle a reçu l'honorifique Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award saluant sa carrière vidéographique mais aussi le prix de la Performance la plus iconique de l'histoire des MTV VMA avec son live de "Roar" en 2013. A ce titre, elle a surclassé Taylor Swift ("You Belong With Me"), Madonna ("Like a Virgin" et "Hollywood" avec Britney Spears et Christina Aguilera), Lady Gaga ("Paparazzi") ou Eminem ("The Real Slim Shady").
